Nestled in a quiet corner and surrounded by beautifully planted borders, Loveday Kensington is the most exquisitely appointed residence imaginable. The staff and the standard of care are equally outstanding.

My husband feels as though he is living in a multi-starred hotel, and it is with the greatest pleasure that I visit and often stay to enjoy lunch or dinner with him, as well as the afternoon recitals by young musicians and singers.

If the time comes when I too need looking after, I can only hope that I may move in as well.

We used Loveday Kensington for our dad for some temporary care, and it has worked out brilliantly. The staff were excellent from the start, ensuring his care needs were fully understood.

He is very happy there and is getting involved in all the various recreational activities. He’s never looked so well cared for. The residence is top quality – beautifully designed with plenty of communal spaces.

The food and dining service are more like a restaurant, with attentive waiters. Many family members and friends have visited Dad, and everyone has been impressed by how well he looks and how attentively his care and medical needs are handled.

The Relationship Partner and the team keep us well updated on Dad’s progress, and the communication has been superb.

Every member of staff at Loveday Kensington whom I’ve interacted with has been wonderful – not only in carrying out their duties, but in their care, concern, and kindness.

My sister has improved greatly since coming out of hospital, due in part to the high standard of food at Loveday – it’s both tasty and nutritious. She is extremely well looked after, both physically and psychologically.

The staff at Loveday Kensington were exceptionally helpful from the very start. It was a rush, as my mother was due to be discharged from hospital just before Christmas. This didn’t faze the staff at all – they sprang into action and went above and beyond. My mother became a Member on Christmas Eve and has been happy ever since.

There are numerous activities, and Members are encouraged to take part. The residence is pristine, well laid out, and open plan, which means Members are never isolated or lonely.

The food is outstanding, and the dining service is reminiscent of a restaurant, with attentive waiters. Visitors are warmly welcomed with tea, coffee, or anything else they might like – along with a lovely selection of snacks and pastries.

Visits are welcome at any time, and communication with the family is excellent.

My 83-year-old mum was recovering from surgery, and I was her primary caregiver. I had to travel for two weeks, and I’m so glad I chose Loveday Kensington.

She felt as though she’d gone on a spa holiday – a place where all her needs were met, with plenty of recreational activities to keep her engaged and active.

Registration was very easy. The care staff were extremely welcoming and went to great lengths to ensure I was comfortable. The kitchen team were very accommodating and prepared delicious, enjoyable meals.

What stood out most was the effort every member of staff made to build a personal relationship with me. I appreciated the use of first-name terms – it made things feel relaxed and respectful.

The activities, both within the residence and out at the theatre, were really well thought out.

My husband needs care – and we both needed a holiday! Loveday was the ideal place to meet both of these needs.

I was able to go to exhibitions, theatres, and films without worrying about my husband. Family living nearby could visit and join us in exploring the area. We both took part in exercise classes and enjoyed the in-house afternoon concerts.

The care and concern for our wellbeing were amazing. The overall atmosphere was friendly, calm, fun, and highly professional. All the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and had time to engage with Members while going about their duties.

It takes great organisational skill – and, of course, a strong staff-to-Member ratio – to handle such a wide range of complex tasks and make it all seem effortless.

By the end of our stay, we were genuinely sorry to leave our adopted family, who had filled our days with care and love.

Truly a five-star experience.

Before placing our loved one, who was in the early stages of dementia, into a care home, we visited many providers across the Greater London area. Once we found Loveday, our search was over. There is simply no comparison in terms of the quality of facilities and care they offer.

Our family member spent four years in Loveday’s care, and we could not be more impressed or thankful for the treatment he received. The food is excellent, the facilities are top-notch, and the staff are consistently kind and professional.

Staff turnover appears to be very low, which is a huge benefit, as it provides Members with long-term consistency and familiarity in their care. We received regular updates and the team were incredibly accommodating, even arranging video calls for us at any time of day or night – something we found immensely comforting.

My husband is a Member of Loveday Kensington and regularly attends The Day Club two to three days a week. I feel truly fortunate to have found Loveday Kensington in our local area and to have the wonderful opportunity for my husband to spend quality time there.

During my thorough search for dementia-friendly day centres and social groups, I discovered Loveday. It has been ideal for him, offering a wide variety of activities throughout the week and at weekends.

Over the past five months, we’ve had a wonderful experience. Every member of staff we’ve met has been kind, friendly, caring, and attentive – not only to the Members but also to their families.

Becoming part of The Day Club has been a great way to get to know Loveday and explore their wider care services for the longer term. I’m now planning to use their short stay service for my husband in the near future.

With good reason, Loveday is considered the crème de la crème of care homes. It is an exceptionally luxurious place, with beautifully appointed rooms, excellent entertainment (a particular member of staff is a real gem!), and delicious food.

More importantly, it is a genuinely happy place, filled with the kindest, most caring staff who have a natural rapport with both Members and their families.

My 95-year-old mother has been there for over 18 months, and I truly couldn’t imagine her being anywhere else. My brother and I drop in at various times of the day and evening, and we are always made to feel welcome.

She is happy there, and I sleep soundly at night knowing she is being treated with kindness, respect, and love.

The food was excellent, and the staff were kind and caring.

My husband stayed for three nights after an operation, and it gave us great peace of mind. Nothing was too much trouble – physiotherapy and podiatry were even arranged at short notice.

I feel very fortunate to have found Loveday. I stayed with the team for care after surgery and couldn’t have asked for more. The team were polite and friendly, the food was amazing, and the spaces were tastefully decorated.

What I particularly appreciated was the transparency of care. Although I was there for post-surgery support, I was genuinely impressed by the standard of care other Members received as well.

I only wish there were facilities like this in Ireland.

The care at Loveday exceeded even our very high expectations. It is indeed expensive and beautifully presented, but the level of care provided matched – and surpassed – everything I had hoped for.

My wife entered the residence bedridden, with a prognosis suggesting she would remain so for the rest of her life. By the time she left, she was walking with minimal assistance, doing her physio exercises, and sitting in her chair throughout the day.

But most importantly, her mental outlook transformed – from defeated and hopeless to determined and hopeful. Loveday provided a solid foundation for her ongoing rehabilitation at home.

These may sound like small steps, but compared to the prognosis when she left hospital (after five months), they were great strides.
