Fine dining is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Our nutritional menus are trialled and tested and also cater for each Member’s individual taste at any time of day or night.
We know that taste is a powerful sense, stimulating memories and happiness. And we understand the importance of good nutrition and hydration, particularly for those living with ageing conditions.
Each morning, our Members receive a menu with photographs of each item. It’s a small but helpful touch that empowers Members to choose more easily. Lunch is our main meal, offering Members and their guests three courses with a superb cheeseboard. We have an impressive cellar of biodynamic wines to sample, and Our Club Menu and Coffee and Tea menus tempt throughout the day.
Our award-winning culinary team is supported by expert nutritionists, sommeliers and restaurateurs who design well-balanced menus tailored to each Member’s requirements. This includes Wellbeing Plus menus, which include ingredients that aid memory. We have also worked with leading furniture and tableware companies to create a range of senior-friendly tables, plates, cutlery and glassware.
At Loveday, food is a celebration and we believe caring is sharing. So our colleagues always eat with Members to promote social connection. There are no set meal times, so Members can eat when they want. We also welcome family members and friends to join us.
Our chefs hold Culinary Masterclasses with Members as part of our activities programme. Everyone can enjoy making pizza, bread and sweet treats which summon up happy memories.
Our ‘Around the World in 80 Dishes’ showcases dishes from places where Members have travelled and lived. We also create themed menus for Burns Night, Chinese New Year, Australia Day, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah.
For special occasions, Members and families can host celebrations in our wonderful private dining rooms with the help of our chefs.
