Loveday Abbey Road Enhances Care with VIVALDI

Loveday Abbey Road is delighted to participate in the VIVALDI Social Care pilot scheme which was commissioned during the pandemic by the UK Health Security Agency to monitor infections in care homes.

The overarching goal of the VIVALDI Social study is to improve the quality of life for individuals within care homes while mitigating the risk of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, flu, norovirus and urinary tract infections (UTIs). Through data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based interventions, this initiative seeks to create a safer and healthier environment for people living, visiting and working in care homes.

By engaging with initiatives like the VIVALDI Social Care pilot scheme, care homes like Loveday Abbey Road play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of infection control strategies and ultimately enhancing the overall safety and wellbeing of vulnerable people. This collaborative effort highlights the collective responsibility needed to prioritise infection prevention and management in care settings, particularly in the face of evolving public health challenges.

Loveday Kensington, recently rated CQC outstanding on first inspection has been shortlisted for the “Dignity & Respect Care Home of the Year” award. This recognition highlights our tireless efforts to create a warm and respectful atmosphere where Members are cherished and their dignity is upheld. We believe that every Member deserves to live their life to the fullest, surrounded by care and compassion.

Our dedicated team at Loveday Kensington work tirelessly to ensure that Members feel valued and respected at all times. We place an emphasis on the onboarding of Members, spending a lot of time with them before their Loveday journey begins, whether home care, day club or residential. Members receive a very detailed care and lifestyle assessment which reviews nutrition, lifestyle, hospitality, hobbies, mobility and medication. This is followed by meticulous medical, practical and lifestyle recommendations. These are reviewed & updated in line with changing care needs to ensure they are receiving the very best support so they can continue to live their best life.

Dorothy Cash – The Activity Coordinator Award

In the healthcare industry, achieving an “Outstanding” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) is a prestigious accolade that speaks volumes about the exceptional care delivered by an organisation. Exceeding all expectations, Loveday Kensington has secured this coveted recognition on its very first inspection, which less than 1% of care homes in England have managed to achieve. We couldn’t be more delighted! This is a testament to the unwavering dedication and passion of our staff, the visionary leadership, and the focus on delivering bespoke care.

Loveday Kensington is thrilled to be a finalist in the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Award 2023, which recognises the highest quality hospitality and care services in a prestigious setting.

Loveday Kensington was one of three finalists shortlisted in these esteemed awards and we are so honoured to make this elite shortlist; being selected in the top 3 luxury care homes in the country is a huge achievement and we are truly humbled.

Following this accolade, Knight Frank also published The Luxury Care Home Guide 2023, featuring the UK’s top 100 luxury care homes which features Loveday Kensington.

We are immensely proud of so many aspects of Loveday Kensington, including the sophisticated application of technology throughout the property and the use of natural light. Suites, dining rooms and communal lounges have all been positioned to maximise light, which has proven benefits for those living with dementia. Window sizes have been designed to allow daylight into the building without overheating and maintaining privacy.
