We are proud to celebrate Matthew Dodge, Executive Chef at Loveday, who was named a finalist in the NACC Care Chef of the Year Competition 2026 and won the Health & Hygiene Award.
Competing against 12 chefs who had each won their regional semi-finals, he demonstrated the skill and creativity required to reach the national final.
The Health & Hygiene Award recognises Matt’s commitment to food safety, hygiene and kitchen practice, all of which play an important role in daily life at Loveday.
Reflecting on the competition, Matt shared:
“I really enjoyed taking part and meeting so many talented chefs from across the country. It was a great opportunity to challenge myself, and I’m really pleased to have come away with the Health & Hygiene Award.”
